South Ossetian authorities informed the EU Monitoring Mission of the fact of firing the border post

Office of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of South Ossetia for post-conflict settlement informed the EU Monitoring Mission in Georgia of the fact of firing the KGB Border Guard post in the village of Karzman in Dzausky District.

As IA "Res" has been informed by Deputy Ambassador, a head of the South Ossetian delegation at the meetings of Mechanism for Prevention and Reaction to Incidents (MPRI) Khokh Gagloev,
as soon as the KGB of South Ossetia became aware of this incident, the EU Monitoring Mission was immediately informed of this fact.
"We have promptly, through the ''hot line'' informed them of the fact of firing our border post and detention of the Georgian policeman," - said Gagloev.
He has noted that for the present they didn`t receive any initiatives on the MPRI emergency meeting with regard to the incident.
"Currently we are studying the details of the incident" - added Gagloev.
The next meeting of MPRI is scheduled for October 24.
It should be reminded, that last night in the village of Karzman in Dzausky district of South Ossetia was fired the Border Patrol post of KGB of South Ossetia. As a result of the actions taken close to the state border of South Ossetia, was detained the Georgian Interior Ministry official Tomiashvili Mogul, who was confiscated the army M4 carbine and a NATO-standard grenade launcher.
