Committee on Migration Policy of South Ossetia has started re-registration of refugees and internally displaced persons. As reported to IA "Res" by the employee of the committee Lyudmila Dzhioeva, "re-registration is being conducted to update the database.
"Today has started census of refugees living in the territory of South Ossetia. It is planned to clarify the actual number of people who need to improve their living conditions, "- said Dzhioeva.
She has noted that all IDPs need to be re-registered and submit to the Committee a set of documents confirming their status.
"They need to present a certificate, confirming a status of a refugee or a displaced person, a passport and birth certificates of family members up to 18 years", - explained the official.
Dzhioeva added that the re-registration would last until the end of the year.
Earlier, 2541 people have been registered by the Committee on Migration Policy.
