The information spread in the South Ossetia that since August of this year at the checkpoint of "Lower Zaramag" citizens of South Ossetia will not be allowed to cross the Russian-South Ossetian border on internal documents - passport of South Ossetia, is untrue, said the news agency "Res" Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia David Sanakoev. He has stressed that the Foreign Ministry of South Ossetia does not have such information and has not received an official notification or letters on this issue from the Russian side.
He has recalled that in February 2010 between South Ossetia and Russia was signed an intergovernmental agreement on mutual visa-free travel of their citizens.
"This document provides for visa-free travel for citizens of up to 90 days as on foreign passports, and on internal documents, in this case, on the passport of a citizen of the Republic of South Ossetia", - said the head of the Foreign Ministry.
Sanakoev has stressed that there were not made any changes in the agreement, so this information is quite groundless.
