A meeting of the of Mechanisms on Prevention and Reaction to Incident(MPRI) has started in the Georgian village of Ergneti at the border with South Ossetia .
At the beginning of the meeting the attendees were welcomed by the head of the European Union Monitoring Mission (EUMM) in Georgia Andrzej Tyszkiewicz and the OSCE co-chair Andriy Deschitsa.
Deschitsa has said that at the last round of the Geneva talks, held at the end of March, was noted the efficiency of the MPRI meetings.
"The participants of the Geneva talks have once again confirmed that the format of MPRI is useful and effective. So I think that the meeting today will also be held in a constructive atmosphere ", - said Deschitsa.
Then the meeting continued behind closed doors.
As IA "Res" was informed at the office of Presidential Envoy of South Ossetia on post-conflict settlement, the meeting would discuss the security issues in the areas adjacent to the border of South Ossetia, the Ossetian prisoners kept in Georgia prisons, the missing persons, as well as humanitarian issues.
