Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia David Sanakoev has paid an official visit to Sukhum, where he has taken part in the events to mark the 20th anniversary of the formation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia.
In the course of the visit, May 16, 2013 was held the meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia David Sanakoev with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia Vyacheslav Chirikba. They discussed issues of bilateral cooperation and signed a plan of consultations for 2013.
May 17, during the awarding ceremony at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia David Sanakoev was awarded the Medal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia "Order of Merit" for his contribution to the development of international cooperation and diplomatic activity.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of South Ossetia to Abkhazia Oleg Botsiev has also been awarded the Medal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia for contribution to the development of international cooperation and diplomatic activities.
