South Ossetia has marked the International Day of the Child

Festive events dedicated to the International Day of the Child were arranged in the capital of South Ossetia on Theater Square. The holiday of fun and positive was organized for the kids by the Committee on Youth Policy, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of South Ossetia.

Children with the clowns played "Darts", "Merry starts." Traditionally were held children's drawing competitions on the asphalt, the best karaoke song. Children’s groups of the preschool educational institutions of the capital gave a concert. The event was also attended by members of the government, led by President of the Republic Leonid Tibilov.
The head of South Ossetia congratulated the children on the holiday, wishing them, above all, a blue sky.
Leonid Tibilov has stressed that the leadership will make every effort that the children of South Ossetia will never see the horrors of war and will live in the protected Republic.
"Today the entire world is celebrating the Day of the Child - the president said. – We have to protect our children. In different parts of the world there are still places where wars are unleashed and continue the conflicts between different nations. Unfortunately, for the past 20 years, we, in South Ossetia, have had to defend our children. We will do everything to ensure that our children will never see the horrors of war, and will always live under a blue, serene sky."
According to him, the children are the future of the Republic and the adults have to help them to find their level in life.
Chairman of the Committee on Youth Policy, Sports and Tourism of South Ossetia Sergey Zasseev has also congratulated the children on the holiday, thanking the principals of the preschool educational institutions for rich concert programs. They were presented with gifts - sports equipment for kindergartens.
The celebrations to mark the Day of the Child have also been held today in all districts of the Republic.
