As the news agency "Res" has been reported by a press secretary of the head of state Ghana Yanovskaya, the Minister of
Internal Affairs Akhsar Lavoev informed the meeting that for the past week had been registered 165 traffic violations, in
three cases, the drivers were under influence.
According to the President, the situation on the roads of the Republic must be addressed together.
"The head of state has stressed that the responsibility lies not only on the law enforcement agencies, but also on the
citizens who drive without proper training in a drunken state", - said Yanovskaya.
According to her, in the course of the meeting it was decided to toughen the punishment for driving in a state of
intoxication. The corresponding proposal was made by the Chief Justice Ilona Khugaeva.
"In earlier times for driving under the influence was administered a fine in the amount of 20,000 rubles, and the citizen
was deprived driver's license for a year and a half, "- said Khubaeva.
Leonid Tibilov supported the proposal of the Chief Justice, authorizing the Minister of Internal Affairs to work on this
issue.
During the meeting, the president said that the next day the Attorney General of the Republic Merab Chigoev would meet
with his Russian counterpart Yuri Chaika.
"In the course of the meeting will be signed the joint program of actions. I believe that this joint work will yield some
results, "- said the head of state.
Within the framework of the working trip will also take place a meeting at the Investigation Committee of the Russian
Federation.
The Chairman of the State Customs Committee Murat Tskhovrebov reported on another meeting with the Russian
Federation counterparts. He spoke about the results of the meeting with the head of the Federal Customs Service Andrei
Belyaninov.
"During our conversation, we discussed some problems; in particular, special attention was paid to the difficulties when
crossing the state border by people with dual registration. Our proposals have found understanding,"- said the head of the
RSO State Customs Committee.
On the results of the 25 round of Geneva discussions on security in Transcaucasia reported the head of the South
Ossetian delegation in Geneva Murat Dzhioev.
"At this round, we have achieved to convene a joint meeting of the two working groups - on security and humanitarian
issues. The very fact that we managed to unite the two working groups, that over several rounds was opposed by the
Georgian side, is positive, "- emphasized the envoy.
