The Delegation of South Ossetia participated in the XVIII St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, held May 22-23 in St. Petersburg. at a briefing in Tskhinval Minister of Economic Development of South Ossetia William Dzagoev told about participation of the South Ossetian delegation.
According to him, in the framework of the forum were held working meetings with representatives of Russian companies, in particular, "Rosneft", "Gazprom" and " Rusnano".
"During these meetings, were discussed the prospects of cooperation for the development of bilateral relations between the Russian and South Ossetian enterprises, as well as the situation in South Ossetia, relations with Russia", - said Dzagoev.
" We have received many questions regarding the practical implementation of the Russian-South Ossetian intergovernmental Agreements on trade in goods- said Dzagoev. - Many businessmen were interested in preferences, tax benefits and conditions provided to potential investors."
The Minister has noted that the trade agreement is a certain starting point, through which Russian business structures have begun to show interest in South Ossetia.
"Our task is to create favorable conditions for attracting investors to the Republic", - concluded Dzagoev.
He highlighted the speech of the Russian President Vladimir Putin at the forum, who, despite the current difficult situation in Russia, clearly explained to the world community the position of Russia.
