The South Ossetian delegation is preparing concrete proposals for the upcoming round of the Geneva discussions on security in Transcaucasia, said in Tskhinval at the meeting with the UN, the OSCE and the EU co- chairs of the Geneva discussions Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy of South Ossetia for post-conflict settlement Murat Dzhioev.
He has stressed that in South Ossetia attach great importance to the work of the Geneva discussions as an important international platform, where all parties on equal grounds can discuss security issues in the region.
"The main question remains the signing of legally binding documents on the non-use of force," said Dzhioev.
He thanked the co-chairs for the fact that after the previous "heavy round" they again visited the countries-participants of the Geneva discussions, to develop and discuss the agenda of the next round.
"We have good expectations and we are ready to work constructively," assured the envoy.
Murat Dzhioev also greeted the new EU co-Chairman Herbert Zalber, who had replaced Philippe Lefort, and wished him successful work.
Herbert Zalber, in turn, has assured that he will make every effort in order to find solutions and solving the challenges faced by the participants in the discussions.
"I was expecting some progress, although I was told that it would not be easy. I think that this round will be more productive, and our meetings with all participants of the talks will contribute to this", - he said.
According to the participants of today's meeting, the work in the framework of the Geneva discussions should be intensified.
Today it is also planned the meeting of the co-chairmen with the President of the Republic Leonid Tibilov.
