The Russian Federation will fulfill all financial obligations to South Ossetia in 2025 in full, including increasing salaries for public sector employees and security forces. This was reported on the official website of Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation following the working visit of the Russian delegation to South Ossetia.

Representatives of Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, headed by Deputy Minister of Economic Development Dmitry Volvach, paid a working visit to Tskhinval, during which a meeting was held on strengthening socio-economic cooperation between the Russian Federation and South Ossetia.

"During the meeting, the Russian party confirmed its readiness to finance all accepted obligations in 2025 in full, including increasing the level of wages for public sector employees and employees of the Republic's law enforcement agencies, as well as the facilities of the investment program approved by the parties," the statement of the Ministry of Economic Development reads.

As part of the work on implementing the plan to harmonize the tax legislation of South Ossetia with the tax legislation of Russia, the parties discussed the main measures to create a tax administration system in the Republic, as well as the timing of their implementation. The creation of such a system will automate tax procedures, eliminate unnecessary barriers and increase the level of own budget revenues by 30%.

As noted by the Ministry, during the visit, the parties also began working on a new state program for socio-economic development of South Ossetia for 2026-2030. At the meeting with the Russian delegation, South Ossetian President Alan Gagloev instructed the Republic's relevant departments to begin working on the draft state program in close cooperation with the Russian partners. "We are facing important tasks, and their solution requires the coordinated work of the government and all relevant departments. South Ossetia will continue to develop in close cooperation with Russia, implementing key projects and initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life of our citizens," Gagloev has emphasized.

The Investment Program of the Russian Federation

Earlier, Russia allocated 3.587 billion rubles for the implementation of a three-year investment program to promote the socio-economic development of South Ossetia for 2023-2025. In total, the program provides for the implementation of 46 events, of which 37 were launched within the framework of the previous investment programs, TASS writes.
