The delegation of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, headed by Deputy Head of the Department Dmitry Volvach, inspected the facilities under construction in South Ossetia as part of the Investment Program.
Representatives of the Ministry arrived in the Republic on Wednesday for a two-day working visit.
The guests were accompanied by Chairman of the government of the Republic Konstantin Dzhussoev, head of the Ministry of Construction Konstantin Eldzarov, representatives of the capital construction department and other officials.
The inspection began with a children's recreation camp in the Dzau district, where the participants of the tour got acquainted with the progress of work. The camp is designed for 150 places. The work began in June last year. Commissioning of the facility is scheduled for 2023.
The Russian delegation also got acquainted with the reconstruction of the bridge across the Liakhva River in the city of Tskhinval.
Eldzarov has noted that due to the fact that the equipment is old, the work is being carried out slowly.
“We cannot bring new equipment, since it is large in size and will not turn around through the pass. We will finish the bearing part of the bridge this year, but we will postpone the work on the decorative part to the spring of next year,” the Minister said.
The Russian delegation headed by Dmitry Volvach has included Anton Melnik, Deputy Director of the Social Programs and Projects Department, Peter Vorontsov, Deputy Director of the Special Projects Implementation Department, Sergei Kuryakov, Deputy Head of the Customs Cooperation Department, Maxim Melikhov, General Director of Investcapital LLC, and others.
