South Ossetia will celebrate the State Flag Day and the 36th anniversary of the Republic's proclamation with a military parade, an art fair, and a festive concert.
The festivities begin on September 19 on the Tskhinval’s Theater Square with a ceremony dedicated to State Flag Day (starting at 12:00), according to the Republic's commission for organizing state-level events.
"The following day, September 20, at 10:30, flowers will be laid at the bust of Torez Kulumbegov—a prominent political figure and Chairman of the Republic's Supreme Council from 1990 to 1993.
A military parade will take place at 11:00, followed by the 'Ossetian Courtyard' celebration at 12:30.
Residents and visitors to the capital will be presented with an art fair featuring paintings, decorative and applied arts, and traditional South Ossetian crafts," the commission stated.
The events will conclude at 19:00 with a festive concert on the Theater Square.
