Acting South Ossetian President Marat Kambolov and St. Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov laid flowers at the chapel in the courtyard of Secondary School No. 5 in Tskhinval, where victims of the Georgian aggression are buried.

Russian Ambassador to South Ossetia Marat Kulakhmetov, Minister of Education and Science Aslan Lolaev, and other officials also participated in the ceremony.

The cemetery in the school courtyard was established in 1991, when the first victims of the Georgian government abuses began to be buried there. The victims of the Zar tragedy and the defenders of South Ossetia during the 2008 war are buried here.
