Acting President of South Ossetia Marat Kambolov commented on the possibility of opening the border with Georgia for transit traffic through the Republic's territory.

According to him, this question was raised during a meeting with the South Ossetian citizens residing in the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania.

"Let me be clear: South Ossetia is not yet ready for this— neither psychologically or in terms of the necessary regulatory framework.

For our people, the issue of security is bound up with the war we endured and the losses we suffered.

Any decisions in this regard require reliable guarantees," Kambolov has written on his Telegram channel.
