The Kremlin hosted a meeting between the presidents of South Ossetia and Russia Leonid Tibilov and Vladimir Putin.
According to the press Secretary of the President of the Republic of South Ossetia Ghana Yanovskaya, during the meeting were discussed the prospects of development of bilateral relations, first of all, in the socio- economic sphere and forthcoming elections in the Republic.
" issues in the Transcaucasian region were considered separately," Yanovskaya said.
"The most important internal political event - presidential elections will be held in early April. Wish you luck. I hope that everything will be held within the framework of the current Constitution, in accordance with the laws of South Ossetia, and ultimately creating new favorable conditions for development," Putin said at a meeting with Tibilov in the Kremlin.
