President of the Republic of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov took part in the forum dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the public movement "Our Ossetia", held in Vladikavkaz.
As reported by the press-secretary of the head of state Dina Gassieva, the North Ossetian regional international movement "Our Ossetia" unites 34 national-cultural societies of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania.
Anatoly Bibilov has noted that North Ossetia "is the center of attraction for hundreds of thousands of people of different nationalities, united in joy and in adversity, feeling their involvement in the past, present and future of the Republic."
"Our Ossetia", uniting under its wing all the ethnic communities of the Republic, makes a great contribution to the formation of a harmonious model of interethnic relations, to the life of a society where everyone can say: "North Ossetia - Alania is my home, my homeland, and here I am building my happiness! ", - the president of South Ossetia stressed.
He has recalled that in the terrible August days of 2008, as in 1992, all the people of North Ossetia, without any division into ethnic groups, very closely embraced the tragedy of South Ossetia. This happens only when there is a strong emotional connection, a sense of belonging to a single community, an unequivocal perception of people as "their own."
