Addressing his South Ossetian colleague, the President of the Russian Federation has reminded that August 26 will be marked the 10th anniversary of Russia's recognition of South Ossetia's independence.
"We remember well those difficult events, but nevertheless, despite all the difficulties, and there are always many difficulties, the Republic is developing, we are trying to do our best to ensure the security of the Republic of South Ossetia, to support it economically," - said Vladimir Putin.
He has noted the good dynamics of trade turnover between Russia and South Ossetia, having also paid attention to the successful implementation of a series of projects of social significance.
"The growth of trade turnover is 24-25 percent, social projects are being implemented in the Republic - construction of children's hospital, a surgical complex of the republican hospital, roads. In general, the work is going on, for sure, there are even more problems than what we managed to do, but, nevertheless, relations are developing and the Republic is strengthening its position, "Putin said.

Anatoly Bibilov, for his part, noted the fateful role of the Russian leadership's decision to recognize the independence of the Republic of South Ossetia.
"It's after Georgia's compulsion to peace and recognition of South Ossetia that the people of the Republic began to live in a completely different format - in the format of stability, peace and prosperity."
