President of South Ossetia, Anatoly Bibilov, has visited the memorial tomb of Comandante Hugo Chávez.
According to the press service of the head of state, “the President and members of the South Ossetian delegation paid tribute to the outstanding statesman of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. Anatoly Bibilov has noted that it was the decision of Hugo Chávez that Venezuela recognized the independence of the Republic of South Ossetia.
President of the Republic of South Ossetia is in Venezuela on a two-day visit, during which he will take part in the inauguration ceremony of President Nicolas Maduro, and will also hold several meetings with the leaders of Latin American countries.
The delegation of South Ossetia has included Foreign Minister Dmitry Medoev, State Advisor to the President Konstantin Kochiev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of South Ossetia to Venezuela Narim Kozaev.
