South Ossetia would never stand against the enemy if it were not for the support of the North Ossetian brothers
Speaker of the South Ossetian Parliament Peter Gassiev met with the delegation of North Ossetia, which arrived at a solemn meeting in honor of the completion of the work of the VI convocation of the Republic’s parliament. Speaker welcomed the guests, noting that such a solemn meeting was held in the Republic for the first time.
“With this event we want to show the work of the Parliament. It seems to me that the importance of the work of the legislative body does not reach our citizens, so it was decided to show our work. It is very important for us that you came to support us on such a day,” Gassiev addressed the delegation.
Deputy Chairman of the Parliament of the Republic of North Ossetia - Alania Gariy Kuchiev spoke positively about the work of the sixth convocation of the Parliament of the Republic.
“We were all following your work. Most of the bills were adopted by your convocation. The fact that you have thus decided to show your work speaks of a serious attitude towards your activities,” said Kuchiev.
He has also noted that the Agreement on cooperation between the legislative bodies of the RNO-Alania and the RSO is at the stage of signing.
“We are always ready to cooperate with our brothers,” said Kuchiev.
For his part, Gassiev noted that South Ossetia would never stand against the enemy if it were not for the support of the North Ossetian brothers.

“We have already signed a number of agreements, and one of the last is the Agreement on cooperation between our parliaments, and within this framework, of course, demonstration of the openness of the Parliament’s work will be useful for us to see how it works and gain experience. The work of the parliament should be as transparent as possible so that people understand where the country is going,” he said.
The Chairman of the People’s Council has noted that the DPR parliament is always open for cooperation with South Ossetian parliamentarians.
“Just as South Ossetia always comes to the aid of the DPR in the most difficult times, we, too, are always ready to give a shoulder if we need help,” he added.
Peter Gassiev, in turn, thanked the delegation of the DPR for having confirmed their participation as observers at the parliamentary elections.

The parliament of the sixth convocation of Abkhazia and the parliament of the sixth convocation of the RSO are engaged in fruitful work. It makes sense to continue our cooperation, and we would like to express our confidence on behalf of our speaker that it will progressively develop in the future.
