On the meeting of the Secretary of State - Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Grigory Karasin with Ambassador of South Ossetia to the Russian Federation Znaur Gassiev
State Secretary - Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Grigory Karasin received on Tuesday the Ambassador of the Republic of South Ossetia in Russia Znaur Gassiev.
"During the conversation, topical issues of bilateral relations were discussed, including the improvement of foreign policy coordination, the strengthening of the international positions of the Republic of South Ossetia," the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
Karasin handed Gassiev the breastplate of the Russian Foreign Ministry "For Cooperation", which he was awarded for his contribution to the development and strengthening of Russian-South Ossetian multifaceted relations.
Karasin congratulated Gassiyev and stressed that the leadership of the Russian Foreign Ministry and, in particular, Minister Sergey Lavrov, very positively evaluate the work of the Ambassador and the Diplomatic mission headed by him, aimed at promoting South Ossetian interests in the host country. Noting also the productivity of contacts at the federal and regional levels, Karasin expressed confidence in further constructive cooperation.
