President Anatoly Bibilov met with participants of the 1st Russian-Ossetian Youth Forum - representatives of young people from South Ossetia, Russia, the DPR, the LPR, Transnistrian Moldavian Republic, Abkhazia, Artsakh, the press service of the head of state reports.
In his welcoming speech, the President stressed the importance of communication and networking between young people from different countries.
Anatoly Bibilov has noted that the youth of South Ossetia are educated on patriotic and international values, as well as representatives of the youth of friendly states.
“And we see the confident desire of young people to unite efforts in solving various problems,” he noted.
At the end of his speech, the President reiterated the importance of holding such events, which would further help young people to establish contacts to resolve emerging issues, and also wished everyone a productive pastime.
“If we are together, if our young people unite and cooperate, then we will not be afraid of any obstacles. We have common goals and objectives to be achieved. There are obstacles in our common way, but one can't do without them,” he said.
During the conversation representatives of each country participating in the Forum expressed their gratitude, told about their projects, and also asked the head of state questions.
Representative of the South Ossetian side Valentina Gatikoeva, has noted that the Forum is a place where any initiatives and projects are implemented.
“Agree that the implementation of projects is impossible without support. In order for this event to take place, Anatoly Ilyich Bibilov provided us with all kinds of support,” she said.
Representative of the delegation of the Russian Federation Nikita Chekrygin thanked the organizers and the head of state for the opportunity to hold the Forum.
“On behalf of the Russian delegation, I want to express my gratitude for the warm welcome. I hope that this is not the last forum, because it is really very important that young people have the opportunity to communicate internationally, express their ideas and suggestions,” he said.
Nikita Chekrygin voiced the idea of enhancing the tourist attractiveness of South Ossetia by inviting representatives of the media to the region to talk about the Republic beyond its borders.
“Within the framework of the next Russian-Ossetian forum, a media platform will be created, where they will talk about South Ossetia, thus enhancing its tourist potential,” he said.
