Foreign Minister of South Ossetia Dmitry Medoev awarded the Foreign Ministry Medal of the Republic of South Ossetia "For Contribution to International Cooperation" for significant contribution to the development of friendly relations between South Ossetia and Nicaragua Foreign Minister of Nicaragua Denis Moncada and Deputy Minister - First Ambassador of Nicaragua in South Ossetia Luis Alberto Molina Quadra,the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia reports.
The award ceremony took place during a meeting at the Foreign Ministry of Nicaragua in the presence of the President of the Republic, Anatoly Bibilov.
"As a sign of special merit in the establishment and strengthening of interstate relations between South Ossetia and Nicaragua, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Nicaragua Denis Moncada presented the Order of Jose T. de Marcoleta to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Dmitry Medoev", the press service says.
Delegations of South Ossetia headed by President Anatoly Bibilov are on a working visit to the Republic of Nicaragua. The delegation, which includes Foreign Minister Dmitry Medoev, Ambassador of the Republic of South Ossetia to the Republic of Nicaragua Narim Kozaev, will take part in the celebrations marking the 40th anniversary of the Sandinista revolution.
