Under this name, commemorative events in South Ossetia will be held on the night of August 7-8. The project itself, prepared for the next anniversary of the August war, is called "Let's Remember Everything."
According to the Minister of Culture of South Ossetia, Zhanna Zasseeva, on August 7, at 17:00, an exhibition dedicated to the events of 08.08.08 will be opened at the Gergiev Stairs. The exhibition was prepared by the Rossiyskaya Gazeta, whose journalists prepared and presented the exhibition to the Republic last year. “But it will be supplemented. I believe that this exhibition has no statute of limitations, this is the documentary factual that tells the whole world about the real events of the terrible war. We will remember every defender of the Fatherland, who gave his life, protecting us - the people of South Ossetia, and light candles in their memory. These are both our guys and Russian soldiers, to whom we owe, as our own children. They are all defenders of our heart, soul, life ... Defender of the Fatherland has no nationality,” says Zhanna Zasseyeva.
She believes that the mothers of South Ossetia equally mourn all the dead soldiers and peacekeepers.
At 19:00 in the "Museum of Burned Souls" an action and a prayer service will be held. We will come, lay flowers and wreaths at the tree of sorrow, honor the memory of the innocently killed.
“Every year, families come there, among them are those children who first participated in the events in 2009, and since then have come annually with water and toys.
At 20:00, the action “We Remember Everything” will continue at the Gergiev Stairs. Here will be voiced and the address to the people. People whom the war, unfortunately, personally affected, will share their memories, their grief,” said the Minister of Culture of South Ossetia.
In addition, the participants of the action will issue a guilty verdict against Georgian fascism.
