On Friday, in South Ossetia will be held the events to mark the International Day of Missing Persons, the head of the department for the protection of civilians of the representative office of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in the Republic of Rustam Alizadeh said at a briefing in Tskhinval.
“We plan to hold a small event in Tskhinval on the International Day of the Missing, which will consist of two parts: a photo exhibition of paintings from the book "Lifetime Memories" and a film screening. The first of them is media, through the media we will try to convey to the population the problem of the missing persons. It is very important for us that citizens do not forget about this problem, and they have the opportunity to connect, help at least by some information regarding the missing persons,” Alizadeh said.
According to him, in the second part of the event, the screening of the film "Hotel Rwanda" will be organized.
“The film was shot on the basis of real events and is dedicated to the conflict, how people struggle with its consequences,” he said.
It should be noted that since the 90s 130 people are listed missing in South Ossetia, since 2008 - 7 people.
