The Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy of South Ossetia for post-conflict settlement, the head of the South Ossetian delegation in the IPRM format, Yegor Kochiev commented on publications in the Georgian media regarding the situation on the state border of the Republic of South Ossetia with Georgia.
“To begin with, I would like to answer some questions regarding the illegal police post of Georgia,” Yegor Kochiev said in a press release. - The Georgian leadership continues the policy of misinformation of the world community, saying that the Georgian police post was put up near the village of Chorchana. In fact, this is not true, because this checkpoint was put up on the South Ossetian territory near the village of Uista (Tsnelis), literally 250 meters from the specified village. Whereas, to the Georgian village of Chorchana, in a straight line, about 3 kilometers, and along the road illegally cut in the forest, all 4 kilometers.”
Yegor Kochiev noted that the Georgian leadership was not the first to use the policy of misinformation and lies in their daily lives.
“This has become the hallmark of the Georgian leadership. Like, for example, the fact that it is being circulated in the media of a state hostile to us that the patient who is allegedly at death is not allowed to go to Georgia for treatment,” Yegor Kochiev emphasized. - We want to inform all the interested parties, including Madame Tsyhelashvili, that yesterday, November 5, 2019, the patient was discharged from the Tskhinval hospital, where she was provided with all the necessary medical care, Tamar Gigauri’s condition does not cause any concern, and the hysteria of the Georgian media and individual ministers did not has no basis. ”
