Over the years of its existence, the Armed Forces of South Ossetia have turned into a cohesive organism, ready to solve the tasks of ensuring the defense and security of the Republic, said Beslan Zvizhba, First Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Abkhazia, at a solemn meeting dedicated to the Defender of the Fatherland Day and the Day of Formation of the Armed Forces of South Ossetia.
The delegation of the Ministry of Defense of Abkhazia is participating in the festive events in the Republic.
Tsvizhba congratulated the servicemen of South Ossetia on a holiday on behalf of the leadership of the military department and people of Abkhazia. According to him, between our republics and the friendly Russia have been signed agreements on friendship, cooperation and mutual assistance.
“Agreements in the military field are of exceptional importance for our Armed Forces. This is a significant contribution not only to our bilateral cooperation, but also to strengthening regional security as a whole. We greatly value our cooperation in the defense sector. I am sure that Abkhazia and South Ossetia will continue to consistently contribute to strengthening the relations of fraternal friendship between our peoples,” said Tsvizhba.
The First Deputy Minister of Defense of Abkhazia has assured that our peoples will always be grateful to keep in mind the feat of Russian soldiers and officers, as well as will never be forgotten the names of the Ossetian soldiers, the defenders of the Fatherland, who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of South Ossetia.
He has stressed that today South Ossetia has the foundation on which to build a solid future for the country, a future for many years and decades.
