The international scientific-practical conference "Genocide of the Ossetian people" will be held at the South Ossetian State University on Wednesday.
The conference will feature the reports “The 1920 genocide is the enduring pain of the Ossetian people” by the state Adviser to the President of South Ossetia, candidate of history Konstantin Pukhaev, “Information genocide of South Ossetia in the 20th century” by the editor-in-chief of the newspaper “Cultural Petersburg” Sergey Ilchenko, “Without statute of limitations” by Foreign Minister Dmitry Medoev, “South Ossetia on the Positions of Truth in a Global Information War”, Chairman of the State Committee for Information and Press Maria Kotaeva, “The work of television reporters in conditions of the Citizens war in Donbas " acting head of the Department of Cultural Studies, screen and television arts of the Lugansk National University named after Taras Shevchenko," Genocide as a socio-political phenomenon by the Head of the Department of Political Science and Sociology,of the South Ossetian State University
It should be noted that this year marks the 100th anniversary of the genocide carried out by Georgia against the Ossetian people. On the occasion of the tragic date, an action plan has been developed at the state level, including round tables, scientific and practical conferences with the participation of scientific and creative intelligentsia, exhibitions and expositions of paintings and photographs reflecting the genocide of the Ossetian people, screening of documentaries, literary evenings of Ossetian poets, thematic concert requiem programs, tree planting in memory alleys, etc.
