The number of citizens in South Ossetia who are self-insulated at home and in the hospital per day has decreased. According to data on April 11, 438 people remain on self-isolation at home, said Anna Gagloeva, the Republic’s Deputy sanitary doctor, to IA “Res”.

"Three people are still under the supervision of medical workers in hospitals, two of them are in the capital and one is in the Znaur hospital. Another one was discharged from the Tskhinvali hospital the day before, " Gagloeva said.

According to her, 12 tests for coronavirus were conducted the day before, all of them negative.

"For the entire period, 99 tests were carried out in our laboratory, all showed a negative result," she said.

The epidemiological situation, Gagloeva noted, remains stable, "there are no infected with coronavirus in the Republic at this stage."

The authorities of South Ossetia, in order to ensure the sanitary and epidemiological situation in the republic, adopted on Friday a new resolution to limit access through the border with Russia until May 1.

The decision does not apply to South Ossetian citizens returning to the republic, members of official delegations, employees of diplomatic missions, Russian military personnel, citizens traveling due to the death of a close relative, people sent by the Ministry of Health to receive high-tech medical care, etc.

The border with the neighboring republic of Georgia, where the number of people infected with coronavirus, according to the latest data, has reached 236 people, has been closed since the end of February.
