In South Ossetia, over the past day, not a single new case of coronavirus has been detected, Anna Gagloeva, Deputy head of the South-Ossetian Consumer Supervision Committee told IA "Res» on Sunday.
"All previously sick people are quarantined in a medical facility, doctors are monitoring their health," Gagloeva said.
On the morning of May 31, in the isolation ward of the Republican Medical Center there are 8 people with a laboratory-confirmed test for coronavirus.
The first three cases of coronavirus infection in the Republic were recorded on May 6, since then 42 cases of COVID-19 have been laboratory-confirmed.
Last week, the government of the Republic made decision to extend the closure of the border between South Ossetia and Russia until June 30. The measures taken do not apply to citizens of South Ossetia returning to the Republic according to a specially developed schedule through the consular department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
At the same time, on May 25, public transport began to function, cafes, restaurants, children's entertainment centers, sports facilities, libraries, hotels and motels opened.
