On the International Children's Day, President of the Republic Anatoly Bibilov held a meeting with the Presidential Commissioner for Children's Rights, Gulnara Kozaeva, the presidential press service reports.
The head of state thanked her for her work and increased attention to children with disabilities.
“Much has been done, including to increase benefits for children, as well as to allocate benefits to the families with four or more children. You also hold many events aimed at supporting large families and children with disabilities,” said Anatoly Bibilov.
He has assured that the state will continue to support and assist the families where children with disabilities grow up.
“They courageously hold the blow of fate, which cannot but cause deep respect. And we will do our best to make them feel that the state cares for them,” the President said.
Anatoly Bibilov has also noted that material payments to the families with four or more children, at the rate of 1000 rubles per child, will be paid until the child graduates from the educational school and taking into account the recalculation from January 1, 2020. According to the head of state, the issue of payment of maternal capital in South Ossetia will also be worked out in the future.
For her part, Gulnara Kozay\eva thanked the President for the high appreciation of her work.
“In our country, conditions are being created for the full development of children, the amount of benefits for children is increasing, families with many children have welcomed your Decree on payments of 1,000 rubles per month for families with four or more children.
Our children are born and receive medical care in well-equipped new medical institutions, are brought up and trained in modern educational institutions. For children with disabilities, a correctional class is functioning at the Tskhinval boarding school. Several charitable foundations that you support have been created. The disabled children are regularly provided with technical means of transportation under your personal guidance.
Housing problems of large families and families with children in general are also being addressed. It is gratifying to note that in conditions of self-isolation during the period of the coronavirus pandemic, the families with children were also not left without attention,” she said.
Gulnara Kozaeva also emphasized that children's homelessness in South Ossetia is zero and that the cases of deprivation or restriction of parental rights are single.
