Doctors from St. Petersburg are providing assistance to South Ossetia to combat COVID-19

In South Ossetia, on the invitation of the Health Ministry of the Republic in coordination with the relevant Russian department, there are doctors from St. Petersburg, said the Health Minister of the Republic Georgy Totchiev.

“Russian specialists from the Pavlov St. Petersburg Medical University are participating in the work of the reception and triage center for patients with coronavirus. Among them are an anesthesiologist-resuscitator and two specialized specialists who have experience in the first wave of COVID-19,” the Minister said.

According to him, the arriving physicians are faced with the task of providing organizational, methodological and practical assistance when visiting patients together with the South Ossetian specialists.
