As of the morning of November 7, 188 people are in the Republican Multidisciplinary Medical Center (RMMC) of South Ossetia in the "red zone", 69 more patients are being treated at the Russian military hospital in Tskhinval, the chief infectious disease specialist of the Republic Eleonora Dzhioeva informed IA "Res ".

“Today 28 patients are being treated in the infectious building of the RMMC, 160 in the building of the children's hospital. Eleven of them are in the intensive care unit. Over the past day, 12 patients were discharged and 11 people were again hospitalized. One person was transferred outside the Republic the day before, one person (an 89-year-old man) died last night from the effects of bilateral pneumonia, he was admitted to the hospital in serious condition, "the doctor said.

According to Dzhioeva, the admission and triage department of the RMMC on Friday received 164 patients, of which seven were hospitalized.

"50 patients were tested in the reception and triage center; 26 people were referred to a computed tomography of the chest. Seven were hospitalized at the RMMC, four people were sent to a military hospital," said the chief infectious disease specialist.

In addition, according to Dzhioeva, mobile teams examined 22 patients at home.

“Two of them were referred for computed tomography. Eighteen people were tested,” said Dzhioeva.

During the day, 125 studies were carried out in the PCR laboratory of the South Ossetian Consumer Supervision Committee; 41 were new cases of COVID-19 infection, in total, 1221 people fell ill during the opening of the border with Russia (September 15).

As the chief sanitary doctor of the Republic Marina Kochieva told IA "Res", another 21 people had been removed from the register of doctors; in total, 155 patients have recovered since mid-September.
