37 new cases of coronavirus have been detected in a day in South Ossetia

In South Ossetia over the past day, 154 people have been tested for coronavirus infection; 37 cases showed a positive test result, the head of the South Ossetian Consumer Supervision Committee, Marina Kochieva, told IA "Res" on Wednesday.

“The number of cases in the Republic has reached 2461. 1619 people have been removed from the register with a negative COVID-19 test,” Kochieva said. “842 people are still under medical supervision in hospitals and outpatient. There are 67 people in hospitals in the Republic, 62 of them in the Tskhinvali medical center (22 in the infectious diseases hospital, another 40 in the children's hospital), four people in intensive care, and five people are being treated in district hospitals."

During the pandemic, 13917 people have been tested in the PCR laboratory of the South Ossetian Consumer Supervision Committee.

In the Republic, since January 15, the ban on the work of secondary, secondary vocational and higher educational institutions will be lifted, while a mask regime is in effect, it is necessary to observe social distance in public places.
