President of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov took part as an honored guest in the meeting of the Council of Commanders of the Union of Donbass Volunteers, held in Rostov-on-Don, the press service of the head of state reports.
The meeting participants were greeted by Andrey Turchak, Governor of the Rostov Region Vasily Golubev, Senator of the Russian Federation Alexander Karelin and other officials.
Speaking at the event, Anatoly Bibilov has noted that South Ossetia is the only state that recognized the independence of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics.
“I'm proud of it. Relations between our countries are at the highest level. And we will continue to do everything to bring our peoples closer together and get to know each other better," he stressed.
President of South Ossetia considers the unification of the Union of Donbass Volunteers and the United Russia party to be absolutely logical. According to him, the Union of Volunteers is a patriotic organization, and the political party "United Russia" is the main political force, patriotic towards Russia and the Russian world as a whole.
“Today is the time for all political forces to unite. In 2012, I created the "United Ossetia" political party, and I want to express my hope that soon our organizations will sign a number of cooperation agreements, as there is a need for this,” Anatoly Bibilov said.
As part of the event, an Agreement was signed between the "United Russia" party and the Interregional public organization “Union of Donbass Volunteers”.
The document was signed by Secretary of the General Council of the" United Russia party", First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation Andrei Turchak and Chairman of the Board of the Union of Donbass Volunteers, Alexander Borodai.
It should be noted that today Anatoly Bibilov's visit to the Donetsk People's Republic and the Lugansk People's Republic has begun, where President of the RSO will take part in festive events dedicated to the formation of the DPR and LPR.
