72 patients with a confirmed diagnosis of coronavirus infection are being treated in the "red zone" of the Republican Multidisciplinary Medical Center of South Ossetia (RMMC), Eleonora Dzhioeva, the chief infectious disease specialist of the Republic, said at the press conference in Tskhinval on Tuesday.

“The condition of the patients is of moderate severity, there are also severe patients,” said Dzhioeva.

Andrey Kolesnikov, Doctor of Medicine, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Anesthesiology, Intensive Care and Neonatology of the M. Gorky Donetsk National Medical University named after, is taking part in the press conference at the Sputnik-South Ossetia press center. According to the chief infectious disease specialist in South Ossetia, an increase in the incidence of coronavirus infection has been observed in the Republic over the past two weeks.
