Later, they were joined by President of the Republic, Anatoly Bibilov. The head of state arrived on a motorcycle with the flags of the Republic of South Ossetia and the Airborne Forces.

“I spoke with the commander of the Russian airborne troops, Colonel-General Andrei Serdyukov. He earnestly asked to congratulate you on the day of the Airborne Forces. He confirmed that the airborne fraternity, which is already 91 years old, will continue to grow. The servicemen, young guys, paratroopers, I am sure both cadets and officers who graduated from the university will worthily continue the traditions that you have left as veterans of the airborne troops, ”Bibilov said.

The President has noted that the younger generation is proud of the elders who have gone through the harsh airborne school.

“The young generation is rightfully proud of you, people who have gone through a harsh airborne school. They are rightfully proud of those guys who served in Afghanistan. I am sure that our airborne brotherhood is unshakable, and we will continue to strengthen and expand our fraternal relations with all the paratroopers,” the President stressed.
