A commemorative action - a prayer service dedicated to the thirteenth anniversary of the beginning of Georgia's armed aggression against the Republic of South Ossetia - was held in Italy under the auspices of the South Ossetian Foreign Ministry.

"According to tradition, next to the" Peace Tree "- a walnut tree that was planted in memory of the victims of the Georgian aggression in the Miralfiori park, a group of friends of South Ossetia honored the memory of those perished as a result of the brutal aggression of Georgia in August 2008 with a minute of silence," the Foreign Ministry od the Republic reported.
