The delegation of the South Ossetian State University, headed by rector Vadim Tedeev, visited the Astrakhan State University, during the meetings the directions of interaction between the two higher educational institutions were discussed.
According to the press service of the Astrakhan university, the delegation visited several locations of the university: the Physics and Mathematics Institute, the center for collective use for creating multimedia content with elements of virtual reality, the center for continuous professional development of teachers "Teacher of the Future", the Caspian Higher School of Translation.
Visiting important points for the university allowed the guests to see the latest developments of ASU students in the field of robotics. Thus, mobile robots, underwater and flying vehicles and even a rescue capsule were presented to their attention. Representatives of South Ossetia also learned about the possibility of researching human biomechanics, predicting diseases of the musculoskeletal system and creating a large-scale plan for training athletes. Representatives of the South Ossetian State University also got acquainted with the latest equipment that is used in training at the Caspian Higher School of Translation, which prepares highly qualified specialists for work around the world.
At the end of the excursion, the delegation met with the leadership of the Astrakhan State University.
Rector of the South Ossetian State University Vadim Tedeev thanked the management of ASU for the interesting excursion, noting the high scientific and educational potential of the Astrakhan State University. The delegation stressed the interest in cooperation with the Astrakhan university.
“We are interested in the participation of university staff in advanced training programs, the development of academic mobility of students of the Astrakhan State University and the South Ossetian University. Scientific and technical cooperation is also important, in particular the holding of joint scientific conferences, round tables, master classes”, - commented the visit of the South Ossetian delegation rector of the ASU Konstantin Markelov.
The Alexander Tibilov South Ossetian State University is one of the oldest universities in the Caucasus. It is located in the capital of the Republic of South Ossetia, the city of Tskhinval. One of the two (along with the South Ossetian Research Institute) scientific research institutions in South Ossetia. Since 1989, it is named after one of the founders of the university, Alexander Arsenievich Tibilov. The university includes five faculties and 24 departments.
