President of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov attended the farewell ceremony for the deceased head of the Emergencies Ministry of the Russian Federation Yevgeny Zinichev. The farewell ceremony is also attended by Ambassador of the Republic to the Russian Federation Znaur Gassiev and Minister for Civil Defense, Emergencies and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters, Azamat Chochiev.
The funeral event taking place at the National Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergencies in Moscow. The funeral will be held on the same day in St. Petersburg. Yevgeny Zinichev died in Norilsk on September 8, while on duty. He was 55 years old.
Earlier, the head of state expressed condolences to Russian President Vladimir Putin, family and friends of Yevgeny Zinichev. In a telegram of condolences, Anatoly Bibilov called the tragic death of the head of the Russian Emergencies Ministry a huge loss.
“A remarkable and caring person has passed away, for whom serving the Fatherland was the main vocation, and his heroic, selfless deed is a confirmation of this,” noted President of South Ossetia.
