The organization of the election process to the State Duma of the Russian Federation of the eighth convocation is at a very high level, said the first Vice-Speaker of the South Ossetian Parliament, who, as an international observer, is monitoring the voting in the Russian capital.
“Such posts of public observation have been created, where anyone can enter through a special computer electoral network and watch online how the voting is going on at this or that polling station. People are voting quite actively. So far, we have not noticed such violations that would have affected the outcome of the elections,” said Peter Gassiev, whose words were reported by the press service of the legislative body.
Observers from South Ossetia will work during all three voting days; if necessary, they will be able to visit any other region or city of the Russian Federation.
Elena Dzhioeva, head of the Committee on Budget and Taxes, is also in Moscow as the international observer from the Parliament of the Republic.
It should be noted that voting on a single voting day will be held from 17 to 19 September. In the Russian Federation, the State Duma of the eighth convocation is being elected (225 deputies according to lists and 225 in single-member constituencies), heads of nine regions (three more will be elected by regional parliaments), as well as deputies of legislative bodies of state power in 39 regions.
