The Chairman of the Parliament of South Ossetia Alan Tadtaev has received the delegation of the Lugansk People's Republic, which arrived to participate in the celebrations dedicated to the celebration of the Republic Day, the press service of the legislative body reported.

The delegation has included: Chairman of the People's Council of the Luhansk People's Republic Denis Miroshnichenko, Chairman of the Committee of the People's Council of the LPR on International Relations, Communications, Information Policy and Mass Media Denis Kolesnikov, Head of the Department of Organizational Events and External Relations of the LPR of the Office of the People's Council of the LPR Igor Khabyuk and Advisor to the Chairman People's Council of the LPR Yuri Rezanov.

For the South Ossetian part, the meeting was attended by the Chairman of the RSO Parliamentary Committee on Legislation, Legality and Local Self-Government Alan Gabatty.

Alan Tadtaev greeted the guests and thanked them for their arrival on this important day for the people of South Ossetia.

“I am glad to welcome you on the land of South Ossetia. You are our brothers and share with us our holiday - Republic Day, which is very important for our people. I would like to wish the people of the Luhansk region soon to include the day of recognition of the independence of the Luhansk People's Republic to the calendar of your holidays. We follow all the political processes in the LPR and DPR, and we are glad to all the positive changes in the Donbass. We can say with full confidence that the Lugansk People's Republic has emerged as a state that has chosen the path of independence, and no one has the right to stand up against the will of the people,” Tadtaev said.

The Speaker has expressed confidence that inter-parliamentary ties between the legislative bodies of the LPR and the RSO will continue to strengthen and develop.

For his part, Denis Miroshnichenko congratulated the people of South Ossetia on the Republic Day and also expressed confidence that interstate ties would only strengthen.

“On behalf of the LPR delegation, let me congratulate the people of South Ossetia on the Republic Day. For us, this day is also a holiday, because we say with confidence that we are meeting with our brothers today, which means the family. I am sure that interaction between our countries will be strengthening, and just human relations between our peoples will become stronger every day. A friend in need is a friend indeed, because it was South Ossetia that was the first country to recognize the independence of the LPR, and thereby made it possible for our republic to develop. Today, being here, my colleagues and I, with special trepidation and a sense of responsibility, would like to thank you and your colleagues for the work that we are doing together. I am sure that we will be able to apply your experience,” said Miroshnichenko.

At the end of the meeting, the parties exchanged memorable gifts.
