The KGB of South Ossetia has noted the increasing incidence of violations of the legal regimes operating on the state border and has called on residents of the settlement of Sinagur-Karzman rural administration of the Dzau district, when entering, (crossing) the border zone of the Republic, always have an identity document.
"We draw the attention of the local population that the existing facilities of the border infrastructure are deployed, first of all, in order to ensure the safety of local residents and prevent illegal aspirations to the state border on the approaches to it," the statement of the Committee reads.
In this regard, the KGB considers destructive the actions of individuals "in the interests of creating favorable conditions for their smuggling activities, lobbying for the closure of the border control post at the entrance to the village of Sinagur."
The State Security Committee calls on citizens and guests of the Republic to treat with understanding the measures taken by the border authorities to ensure security in the border area and the inconveniences associated with it, and has also reminded that not only administrative, but also criminal liability is provided for violation of the border legislation of the Republic of South Ossetia.
