Over the past nine months since the beginning of the year, 296 violators of legislation in the border sphere were detained at various sections of the state border of South Ossetia (for the nine months of 2020 - 360).
According to the press service of the KGB of the Republic, of them 115 (157 in 2020) are violators of the state border regime, 181 (203 in 2020) are border regime violators.
"The Border Service of the State Security Committee conducted investigations for each violation of legal regimes.
As a result of procedural activities against violators of the existing administrative and legal regimes on the state border, administrative measures were applied with explanatory work, during which 181 people were subjected to an administrative fine, 34 people were expelled from the Republic under Art. 14 of the Law "On the State Border of the Republic of South Ossetia" without penalties, criminal cases have been initiated against 15 people, 58 people have been warned, 7 are under investigation, "the press service said.
The Border Guard Service of the KGB of South Ossetia has reminded citizens, organizations and state enterprises that in order to carry out seasonal agricultural works in the areas located in the border zone of the Republic, it is necessary to submit documents in advance for obtaining appropriate permits for conducting economic activities.
