Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia Dmitry Medoev received the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia in Italy Mauro Murgia, who is on a business trip in Tskhinval, the press service of the Foreign Ministry reported.
During the conversation, they discussed the activities of the representative office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia in Italy over the past two years, discussed the prospects for the implementation of various projects in the field of culture and education.
Mauro Murgia has noted that, despite all the obstacles and unfavorable epidemiological situation, the representative office carried out active work aimed at developing bilateral relations between South Ossetia and Italy, in particular, evenings of the Ossetian-Italian friendship were organized; tragic events in South Ossetia.
Dmitry Medoev thanked Mr. Murgia for his personal contribution to the development of bilateral contacts and noted the importance of the work carried out by the office, which undoubtedly contributes to strengthening of friendship and mutual understanding between countries and peoples. The Minister has stressed that South Ossetia needs friends who will bring the truth about our country, its history, about the struggle of our people to the world, and the work in this direction will certainly continue.
Dmitry Medoev awarded Mauro Murgia with the departmental medal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia "For Contribution to International Cooperation".
