President of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov handed over to the Health Ministry of of the Republic for the "red zone" the scarce position of medicines for the treatment of patients with coronavirus infection, the press service of the Ministry of Health reported.

"Medicines have been transferred to the RMMC in Tskhinval. Within a week, the RMMC will also receive the necessary medications from suppliers," the press service specified.

Earlier, the Minister of Health, Soslan Naniev, has noted that some drugs included in the standards for treating coronavirus infection will begin to enter the "red zone" of the RMMC of South Ossetia from Monday.

"In view of the sharply increased demand for drugs included in the standards for the treatment of coronavirus infection, there is a shortage of them on the territory of Russia, which significantly complicated their search and purchase by suppliers in the required volumes in the republic. We are talking about wholesale volumes. In this regard, there was a shortage of some drugs. in the "red zone" of the RMMC. The issue of delivery of missing drugs was resolved. The first batch will arrive on Monday, the rest - within a week, "Naniev said in an interview with the IA " Res ".

According to the Health Minister, at the same time, vital and expensive drugs were being supplied to the Republic without interruption, as well as pure medical oxygen.
