Defense Minister of South Ossetia Ibragim Gasseev was awarded the Russian Order of Friendship, the corresponding decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin was published on the official portal of legal information.
"To award the Order of Friendship to Ibragim Alimbegovich Gasseev, Minister of Defense of the Republic of South Ossetia, for his great contribution to the development of the Russian-South Ossetian military and military-technical cooperation," reads the text of the decree.
Ibragim Gasseev was drafted into the ranks of the Armed Forces of the Republic of South Ossetia in 1996.
