Prime Minister of South Ossetia Gennady Bekoev held a meeting with a delegation of the North Caucasus Federal University headed by Rector Dmitry Bespalov, the government's press service reported.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economic Development Dzambolat Tadtaev, Rector of the South Ossetia State University Vadim Tedeev, Director of the Law Institute of the NCFU Dmitry Smirnov, Director on Information Policy of the NCFU Mina Akhverdieva, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of South Ossetia Elisa Gagloeva.
A wide range of topics were discussed within the framework of cooperation with the NCFU, including on the issues of advanced training of civil servants, the teaching staff of the South Ossetian State University, the organization of joint research work, the practice of youth exchange, the development of personnel policy.
The head of the Cabinet of Ministers warmly greeted the guests and noted the importance of interuniversity cooperation.
“Cooperation with the NCFU allows us to solve important issues of education, in general, the socio-economic development of the Republic, including the development of human resources, for which I would like to express my gratitude to you,” emphasized Gennady Bekoev.
He has also noted that reforms are underway in the field of civil service, the legislative framework is being improved, and the assistance of the NCFU in resolving these issues is relevant and timely.
In turn, Dmitry Bespalov expressed his readiness to continue cooperation, and told the head of the government about the joint activities of the NCFU and the South Ossetian State University, the planned areas of work.
“Professional development programs are constantly expanding, now such areas as chemistry, biology, construction, energy, information technology has been added to them. We have started cooperation on personnel management, circulation of documents and others,” said Dmitry Bespalov.
He has also said that next year the NCFU intends to hold the international youth forum at the South Ossetian University with the participation of the Greater Caucasus scientific consortium, which includes, along with the NCFU, Abkhaz State University, South Ossetian State University, National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia ...
Gennady Bekoev readily supported the idea, and noted that the forum site could be used to highlight topical issues on youth policy, the formation of a tourism and recreation cluster and others in the light of implementation of the program of socio-economic development of South Ossetia for 2022-2025.
Gennady Bekoev agreed to head the organizing committee of the future youth forum at the suggestion of Dmitry Bespalov, noting that he knows firsthand how such events are being prepared.
“Through my personal experience, I know how costly and time-consuming in terms of organization are international forums, therefore I am ready to provide all kinds of assistance in holding the event,” the head of the government emphasized.
During the meeting, rector of the South Ossetian State University Vadim Tedeev has noted that long-standing and warm friendly relations have developed with the NCFU.
“We are actively developing the international direction, South Ossetian State University has signed about 40 agreements with federal universities, and all of them are being successfully implemented. But a particularly close relationship has been established with the NCFU, largely thanks to the current leadership headed by Dmitry Bespalov, who came to us this year for the second time. This is in the evidence of the most effective interaction between our universities,” said Vadim Tedeev.
He has announced that the immediate joint plans include the creation of the international research laboratory and a military department within the walls of South Ossetian State University.
Dzambolat Tadtaev, who himself is a graduate of the NCFU, as well as a teacher of the South Ossetian State University, thanked the leadership of the universities for their fruitful cooperation and active involvement of South Ossetian students in interuniversity events.
It should be noted that since 2014, more than 1,300 people have completed advanced training courses at the NCFU in various areas of training.
