During his working visit to Donetsk, Prime Minister of South Ossetia Gennady Bekoev met with the Chairman of the DPR government Alexander Ananchenko. According to the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers, the parties exchanged views on economic issues, intergovernmental interaction, cultural exchange and other topical issues.
Commenting on the results of the meeting, Gennady Bekoev has noted that the two republics have many points of contact, including the development of trade and economic relations.
“With Alexander Evgenievich, we mainly discussed the implementation of state programs for socio-economic development of the two republics for the coming years, which are similar in many aspects. They are extremely important. Their approval and implementation, taking into account funding, will directly influence on the level of well-being of our citizens.
They also discussed a draft roadmap for the implementation of the cooperation agreement between South Ossetia and the Donetsk People's Republic, the timing of signing interdepartmental agreements in the areas of sports, tourism, culture, the creation of joint ventures and other topical issues. In general, they talked about strengthening the integration processes between the republics and Russia,” Gennady Bekoev emphasized.
The head of the South Ossetian government wished success to the republic's economy, the Donbass enterprises, everyone involved in the development of the Donetsk People's Republic, and expressed his readiness to expand bilateral relations.
“Today, when the challenges of the time are getting more complicated, it is very important that the fraternal republics are close and support each other in every possible way,” said Gennady Bekoev.
For his part, Alexander Anancheno has noted that the economic situation after 2014 was formed under the influence of rather complex factors of a military, political and economic nature, but today there is already an increase in macroeconomic indicators.
The head of the DPR government has also said that the development of positive dynamics of industrial enterprises is planned for 2022-2024, and has stressed that he expects fruitful cooperation with South Ossetia.
According to him, the two republics have good potential for expanding and strengthening ties, and in order to give an impetus to the greater development of the economies of the DPR and South Ossetia, it is necessary to make every effort.
