On the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, a working visit of the Ambassador of South Ossetia to the Russian Federation, Znaur Gassiev, took place in the Vladimir region, the press service of the Embassy has reported.
The Russian Foreign Ministry pays great attention to the diplomatic corps accredited in Moscow and, as part of the implementation of its initiatives, introduces foreign diplomats to the cultural, historical and socio-economic potential of the regions of Russia.
The trip to the Vladimir region became a continuation of fruitful cooperation and another serious impetus for the development of bilateral ties, since relations with this region of Russia have good potential and prospects in various areas of cooperation. It should be noted that contacts with the region were intensified back in 2015, when Ambassador Znaur Gassiev held a number of meetings with the governor of the region. The result of the contacts was the signing on September 30, 2016, within the framework of the International Investment Forum Sochi-2016, of an agreement on cooperation between the Republic of South Ossetia and the administration of the Vladimir Region," the press service said.
They added that during the current visit, Znaur Gassiev had met with the Acting Governor of the Vladimir Region Alexander Avdeev, during which the head of the South Ossetian diplomatic mission updated the topic of the importance of bilateral cooperation in the context of ongoing integration processes. In this regard, there is a common understanding and attitude towards the further expansion of bilateral economic and humanitarian ties, the creation of favorable conditions for the development of business.
