Our work has been carried out for five years in the most difficult period not only in South Ossetia, but throughout the world, said the incumbent President of the Republic of South Ossetia, Anatoly, at the government meeting on Monday.

“Today, one might say, is the penultimate meeting before the government resigns, and I want to thank you for the work done.

We had to work during a difficult period when the road was closed during the pandemic. And it was the right decision, it was saved hundreds of people from death, we knew perfectly well that outrage would follow, but it is incommensurable with the fact that lives were saved," Bibilov said.

He has noted that the work of the government was aimed at improving the social component of our people, increasing wages with the help of Russia.

“I would like to pay special attention to the capital of the Republic, a lot of yards were landscaped, elevators were put into operation, the image of the city has changed for the better. Thanks to those who were involved in the implementation of the Investment Program. There has been no fulfillment below 90 percent since 2017.

High organizational skills and control were needed. We managed to do a lot, increase pensions, lump-sum payments, various types of benefits, assistance was provided to the disabled, etc. All this is thanks to you," the President has noted.

He noted the tremendous work done by all ministries and departments and thanked each leader separately for their work.

At the end of the meeting, Bibilov expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Gennady Bekoev.

"You carried out the required and necessary work for our people. I don't know what decisions the new government will be making. But I think those people who work effectively in their places should be involved in the further work of the executive body," he has concluded.
